Blog of a veggie lady who can't stay in one place for too long, loves to dumpster dive, loves to craft and can rant about feminism for hours! Just little notes and photos from my travels and the qwirky, fun, arty and ridiculous things I've seen! (and things I've found in bins.)
Excellent dumpster diving finds of the week so far. A metal teapot that I’m brewing some mint tea in! (With mint I grew from cuttings and has got HUGE AND AMAZING on my windowsill!) the guy at the market insisted I take the little metal mug, milk jug and sugar bowl. He was nice, he was packing up at the second hand market and just gave us things. Also an old shirt that I’ve chopped up, customised and added lace to for an excellent collar.

Speaking of the toe, look at the poorly thing! It’s all wrapped up and needs an operation, sad times! I spent 2 hours of my day in an NHS walk in centre, boo. But it’s made ok because my dress is proper fine. #workwear #ilovecollars
Today I went to the most fabulous shop I’ve been to in a long time. 18 month old Love From Hetty and Dave is a complete gem of a shop. The window was beautifully decorated and lured me in, and I’m glad I did.
In the up and coming area of Pokesdown (Boscombe, Dorset, England etc) and surrounded by deli cafes and vintage shops, Love From Hetty and Dave still shines. It’s full of the owners own fabulous creations (I got a tweed collar, it’s beautiful) and select works that she herself likes, including automata’s and resin work by her sister.
The shop if just a visual treat. Everywhere you look there are things that are completely unique and beautiful. The owner, Zoe Larkins, also uses it as a studio and works away hard at the back of the shop. Looks like the perfect life!
If you’re in the Dorset/Hampshire/New Forest area I strongly suggest you visit!
