Blog of a veggie lady who can't stay in one place for too long, loves to dumpster dive, loves to craft and can rant about feminism for hours! Just little notes and photos from my travels and the qwirky, fun, arty and ridiculous things I've seen! (and things I've found in bins.)
I spent a lot of my last few days in my craft shed, spraying small animals gold. My parents keeping adding extra bizarre bits to my shed, it’s adorable =]
I’m back home and in my craft shed again and I’ve started going through all my Aunty B’s bits and repositioning them around my shed. She took such good care of these things like she did with everything. The bags of fabrics smell like my Grandparents house did when they lived there, and it’s a comforting smell, so I’ve put these bags in tins so it won’t fade.
It’s my birthday so I’m doing some of my favourite things, having a nap then crafting in my craft shed in the sun shine, trying to avoid being the centre of any kind of attention!
Considering this time last year I was stuck in Paris in an over expensive cafe on the phone to my mum (who was crying because I forgot it was my birthday) and hugging Steph (who was crying because her family were telling her Mum not to pick her up from the south), having a fairly uneventful birthday when I just get to draw is lovely =] I’m just feeling pretty happy about all the calls/messages I’m getting.
Also, I rediscovered all my paints and inks and glitters I’d forgotten about, I went batshit mental happy :D
When we got back from Gozo I went to the New Forest for a couple of days to chill out and get on with making things for uni and to sell. My parents have a house there, and my Mum has a craft shed, so I sat myself in there and made and made and made!
My sister has a vegetable patch there, and it got me thinking about my final year project. Since I’ve been back I don’t shut up about the environment and ways to help it, how eco friendly Finland is and how England is a bit of a mess! So I started thinking about my project focusing on that, and easy accessible tips to save the world, such as growing vegetables.
