Blog of a veggie lady who can't stay in one place for too long, loves to dumpster dive, loves to craft and can rant about feminism for hours! Just little notes and photos from my travels and the qwirky, fun, arty and ridiculous things I've seen! (and things I've found in bins.)

Didiet taught us the rest of bookbinding!  We got to use hammers and it was awesome!  here’s Steph laughing hysterically at the hammer, and Marta just looking suspicious!

We went to a midday piece of performance art in the auditorium, where someone sat at the front and ranted and raved and stormed out!  (At least it seemed this way as I didn’t understand the French!)  Then people got out instruments and started playing them discordently, and we were all given two walnuts to shake and make noise with!
I adore this uni =]

Not the best photo ever, but here’s what I’ve done today!  I made some trees and a bear and some sea!
I am aware that I’m using a lot of the same themes as I did in my last projects, but at the moment it’s just working as a good and cosy starting point to test drawing styles before I jump onto other things.  And in the group project we did I really enjoyed the whole 3D thing and want to do more of that.  My dad’s bringing me over a soldering iron, and I have some wood, so I’m going to etch and lazer cut out some characters and paint them :D
So I spent nearly €30 on pens in the last few days, beautiful colourful fine liners =]  So I’ve been doing a lot of very detailed line drawings, I’m going to start working on mark making to do some sophisticated detailed drawings =]

We learnt copper engraving!  Which I’m rather obsessed with!  Now I just need to find some copper sheets, because I’ve got some great ideas for this =]
Also, Didiet got us pizza and wine, I like how frequently this happens!

This is a mini comic I made in Max’s comic class last night, I’m quite proud of it!
It’s about misinterpreting words in French and getting things completely wrong and confused!
Things are getting better now, I do really love this place!  My French is still terrible, but France is great!

This photo didn’t go how we wanted, but I think it turned out amazing!

RAWR A SCARY MONSTER!

This is some Elvis graffiti by my uni, we attacked it with light and a long shutter speed to give him hair and things!  It didn’t go like we wanted and was quite difficult, but I like this one!
