Blog of a veggie lady who can't stay in one place for too long, loves to dumpster dive, loves to craft and can rant about feminism for hours! Just little notes and photos from my travels and the qwirky, fun, arty and ridiculous things I've seen! (and things I've found in bins.)

Can everyone message me telling me how awesome it is that I actually have a job? At the moment I’m just putting a massive downer on it because of all the festivals it’ll stop me going to, fun I won’t be having at festivals and the people I’ll be letting down despite being probably to broke to get to them anyway. SO can people please berate me and remind me how lucky I am to have even a months worth of work with a massive commute every day in the current economic climate, especially a job I’ll actually enjoy. Cause dammmn I love festivals. And dammmn I feel like a sellout. And dammmmn I wish this job was a month later.

Late festival packing, listening to festival music, at the moment it’s Stealing Sheep! I have my gin, glitter and blanket and that’s whats important.
2000 Trees soooon!  If you’re going I’ll be handing out wristbands tonight and tomorrow morning, come say heyyy!

I started thinking about Summer and my brain started to hurt, so I had to rip a page out of an atlas and plot it all out to reorganise my brain, now I’m excited =]

2000 TREES FESTIVAL add 65daysofstatic, Pulled Apart By Horses, Rolo Tomassi, The Xcerts, Johnny Foreigner, My First Tooth, Brontide, Turbowolf, Freeze the Atlantic, Marmozets, Run WALK!, Shapes, The Bronze Medal, Goodnight Lenin, The Cadbury Sisters, Sam Russo, Jason Steel and Sam Brookes to this years line-up.
2000 TREES FESTIVAL takes place 12-14 July 2012 on Upcote Farm, Gloucestershire

Hahaha, look at Kim being all happy on the 2000 Trees advert. It’s weird because she was wearing those exact same clothes today. I also think she hates this picture, even though she is clearly far from having the most embarrassing facial expression. Look at that lineup though. Tellison and Tall Ships were already announced, and adding in 65daysofstatic, Pulled Apart By Horses, Johnny Foreigner, My First Tooth, Shapes and Sam fuckin’ Russo (really cool that he’s there, actually, he’s probably one of the UK’s best but mostly unknown songwriting talents) means it’s probably gonna be an awesome festival. Oh, how I wish I had money and could go.

I hate this picture of me and it’s on the 2000 trees ticket advert, boooo!  Still, 2000 Trees looks sick again this year =]

Right now I’m getting stupidly excited for Summertime!  I spent yesterday listening to Summery songs, and I just watched Taking Woodstock, a gorgeous film all about Woodstock and now I just can’t wait!  And I was listening to an interview with Shappi Khorsandi about what makes festivals special and how at them people are always over the top friendly and how it’s such a different vibe to every day English culture.

So I’ve started making summer plans.  I get waaay too excited about summer.  By summer plans I mean I’ve got a calendar set up for all the festivals I want to go to and have started apply to work at them so that hopefully once again I can spent my whole summer at festivals!

So far only two clash and I can hopefully go to:

-2000 Trees

-Secret Garden Party

-Wilderness

-Beautiful Days

-Shambala

-Hopefully Spain’s Burning Man equivalent, but that’s less likely…

Anyone got any good festival recommendations? :D
