Blog of a veggie lady who can't stay in one place for too long, loves to dumpster dive, loves to craft and can rant about feminism for hours! Just little notes and photos from my travels and the qwirky, fun, arty and ridiculous things I've seen! (and things I've found in bins.)
But it’s ok, Yorkshire is sunny, I’m being lazy at work, dreaming of the south of France. I don’t know why, I’ve only been there for a few days, but for some reason that’s where I want to be right now. Probably from listening to too much Django Reinhardt. I’ll be finished at work soon, and I’ll go home, open the windows, plant some new seeds, apply to some artist residencies and workaway things, I’m excited and hopeful =]
Wood cut engraving I did of a wolf =] This class was lots of fun, we all did an engraving of an animal then printed them.
We then got told we had to learn a lot more French. I’ve realised this weekend just how shocking my French is, and I’m not getting better, it’s really depressing. Proper confidence knock.
At least I can woodcut wolves =]
Me and Steph went to visit my friend Jess who’s doing her masters in Toulouse. Jess is one of my favorite people ever, she’s just fantastic! It takes a bloody long time to get to Toulouse, it was an 11 hour over nighter, and we had a change over in Montpelier in the south of France. This is dawn over Montpelier. I want to visit again, along with Nice, Marseille and Venice, I think we’re gonna make a little trip of it!
A whole pile of pretty woodcut prints!
Uni’s so hectic, we got in this morning from Toulouse at 10 and I only had time to nap and eat before being in uni till 7, and tomorrow we’re in 3-6. And I’ve said I’ll go into photography in the morning. I hope I get a day soon just to think and sort things out, maybe even just get a break from uni, socialising and being awake and just sleep!
