Blog of a veggie lady who can't stay in one place for too long, loves to dumpster dive, loves to craft and can rant about feminism for hours! Just little notes and photos from my travels and the qwirky, fun, arty and ridiculous things I've seen! (and things I've found in bins.)
Oh god. I made the mistake of looking up artist residencies/workaway things earlier out of curiosity and now I have the itchiest feet ever and want to go somewhere new, but know I can’t afford it!
Like this picture is off a workaway advert in Thailand for an artist to work in a hostel making art, babysitting the owners child and teaching English. It’s surrounded by beaches and islands and they provide a room and food. How amazing does that sound?!
WHY DID I START LOOKING AT THESE THINGS NOW MY BRAIN HURTS.
I’m so mad at the person who stole my laptop all over again, if I hadn’t had to shell out for a new one I’d be able to at least have a lil trip out.
Coming back home is niiice =]
I love Huddersfield and my life there, but lately I’ve been getting a little bit claustrophobic seeing as I haven’t left there in agggges and have stupidly itchy feet and haven’t been travelling for ages and I’m missing Finland and everything is busy and scary at the mo! Blah blah blah rant.
So it’s nice to have a break, especially when I come home and there’s MASSIVE CHOCOLATE BARS AND 3 GRAZE BOXES WAITING FOR ME!!!!!! And my Dad just made me coffee, yeaaaah!
And now he’s reading me an email from an old friend in Devon about bats and Sharpitor which is lovely =]
This time last year I was doing THIS trip, it was amazing fun, me and Steph saw a lot of Christmas markets and a lot of snow. We got stuck on trains in the middle of Slovenia for about 20 hours and made friends with a Parisian who could talk Polish and got us through it. We met American’s who struggled through with us when we had NO IDEA where our train was going. This exact time last year I think we were starting on a pub crawl around Prague, or we’d ended up back in Paris and were panicking about getting home. Either way, everything was great fun and a complete adventure!
Now I’m back home for Christmas and spent a lot of the journey back looking at photos of the last year. I went for a meal with David who is one of my favorite people in the world, we talked about travelling and I have itchy feet again. I NEED TO DO SOME TRAVELLING!
Also, I’ve been home nearly an hour and not had an uncomfortable amount of questions, WINNING!
