Blog of a veggie lady who can't stay in one place for too long, loves to dumpster dive, loves to craft and can rant about feminism for hours! Just little notes and photos from my travels and the qwirky, fun, arty and ridiculous things I've seen! (and things I've found in bins.)

A book I just found in the library.  It’s beautiful.  I want it please.

Some silkscreens based on Finland I’ve been doing, now just to turn them into bags!

I’ve been doing some prints too!  Soon all of these will be made into bags.

My first silkscreen made in Finland!  This project is all about Finland.  Obvious, but this is a very beautiful place and I just want to draw it!  I love the designs of Mexican Papel Picado’s (paper bunting, made from thin tissue paper in bright colours with delicately cut out imagery, used in Day of the Dead celebrations) and wanted to try to recreate the patterns and forms used in them in silkscreened form.  I’m going to make some simple tote bags and cushion covers with a series of designs on.
